BEARDS OMNOMNOM
In 'Twelfth Night', Viola, in her disguise as Cesario, gives Feste a coin. He thanks her with "Now Jove, in his next commodity of hair, send thee abeard!" To this Viola replies that she is "almost sick for one" which can be linked to the theme of love being an illness as she also says aside that she "would not have it grow on my chin". The use of "sick for one" offers three interpretations, to Feste it appears that Cesario is eager to have a beard or to the audience that Viola is in love with a bearded man, being Orsino, and is eager to reach sexual maturity. The fact that Feste teases Cesario for not having facial hair could suggest that he has seen right through Viola's disguise or that he is just merely mocking Cesario's misfortune.

Feste suggests that a pair of pubic "beards" used in intercourse would have borne fruit or offspring, he could also mean that two coins, together, are more profitable than one.

FESTE Would not a pair of these have bred, sir?
VIOLA Yes, being kept together and put to use.

Some critics suggest that the said "beard" is in fact pubic hair gathering this idea from Viola's suggestion of them being "put to use". Critics taking this view have also suggested that "I would not have it grow on my chin" means that Viola would prefer the contact of Orsino's beard on her chin or that she would enjoy his genital 'beard' to rest upon her, viz a viz sexual intercourse. For those members of the audience who might not have immediately understood the allusion to intercourse, Shakespeare makes Feste say: "Would not a pair of these have bred, sir?" therefore pushing them to see it.

Ps. I didn't know that Anne Hathaway played Cesario in a theater production in NY :).
Oh and i found out why Viola actually bothered to dress as a guy in the first place, apparently it was not safe for an unaccompanied female to travel about alone at the time.
